HOW DO WE GET MARRIED IN ALABAMA?
Print the state provided marriage certificate form, fill it out correctly and have it notarized. Submit the form to the Probate Court for recording within 30 days of signing. The recording fee is around $75.00. Ever After Elopements and Micro Weddings can take care of all of these steps for you, no need to stress over the process!
WHAT IS AN ELOPEMENT?
An elopement is an intimate ceremony, usually just the couple, in a location of their choosing. It can be as simple as meeting up with the officiant to have the marriage certificate filled out and notarized or a curated experience.
WHY ELOPE?
People elope for many different reasons. The most common are budget and adventure. Some couples do not want the expense or hassle of a traditional wedding. Other couples desire the excitement and wonder of an elopement. Elopements keep the focus where it belongs, on the couple and the experience is totally customizable. It can be most anywhere and any style you want.
WHAT IS A MICRO WEDDING?
A micro wedding is a smaller-scale celebration that typically has a guest count of 20 or less. Most often, micro weddings will have an intimate ceremony and a more casual relaxed reception, should the couple choose to host a reception at all.

Pick a location. It can be your back yard, a location you have selected, or a place we know of
Meet with your coordinator (call, zoom, in person)
Complete the marriage certificate (we can help you with this)
Show up and get married!
WHAT IS THE BEST DAY TO GET MARRIED?
Weekdays are best, especially if getting married in a public place like a park. You will have less people at the location. Weekdays are also a great way to save money on the venue.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
The earlier the better to reserve the date and time you want. Also, some locations require more notice than others.
DO YOU PERFORM SPONTANEOUSE ELOPEMENTS?
If our schedule allows, sure!
CAN WE BRING PETS?
This is venue specific. Well behaved leashed pets are welcome at all venues which allow pets.
CAN WE INCORPORATE CHILDREN AND FAMILY MEMBERS INTO OUR CEREMONY?
Absolutely! This is your wedding and a reflection of what is important to the couple. We will work with you to create a beautiful and meaningful ceremony.
WHAT ABOUT REMARRIAGES?
Not your first rodeo? Great, it’s not mine either! Let’s celebrate the fact you found love in a world where it can be hard to do. This is a judgement free zone, we are simply happy for you!
DO YOU PERFORM SAME-SEX WEDDINGS?
Absolutely! Same sex marriages are legal in all 50 states and has been legal in Alabama since June 26, 2015.
WILL YOU TRAVEL OUT OF STATE TO PERFORM A CEREMONY?
Always up for an adventure, so yes! Travel fees will apply.
